INTEGRITY AND COMPLIANCE

Doing the right thing by always acting with honesty and integrity

As a family-focused business, we fundamentally believe that there’s only one way to do business – and that’s the right way. This means always conducting business in a legal, ethical and socially responsible way, being wholly accountable for the impact of our operations, both on the environment and in the local communities we call home, and looking after the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees. To ensure every one of our extended family lives by these same values, we’ve established a set of standards that guide the way we go about our day-to-day business – this includes:

Diversity in the Workplace

As an inclusive employer, we believe everyone deserves an equal chance. Which is why getting a job at Carwood is based solely upon a candidate’s individual merit and qualifications. It’s also why we’re committed to building a culture where everyone feels valued, is respected and has an equal opportunity to succeed no matter who they are, what they look like or what they believe in.

Gender Equity

We’re working hard to address the historical issues in our industry and build a more gender balanced workforce, at every level. Whilst these are steps towards tangible change, we know there’s a lot more to do. Read our gender pay gap to learn more.

Bribery and Corruption

We will only ever compete on the quality of our products and services, and not because of unethical or unlawful practices. Playing by the rules means that we will never offer, give or accept anything that may influence a business decision, we will always comply with antitrust and competition rules and will use good judgement at all times when gathering market intelligence.

Modern Day Slavery

Our approach to any form of forced labour, human trafficking or breaches of human rights is clear – we have zero tolerance. Which is why we adopt fair and transparent recruitment procedures, pay our staff at least the minimum wage, build long-term, valued relationships with our supply chain and ensure that everyone connected with our business is treated with the utmost dignity and respect. Privacy Policy

Because private information is just that – private – we will always handle it with the utmost care to ensure it stays that way. So, no matter how you share personal information with us, please know we will only ever collect it if there’s a legitimate business need to do so, it will always be processed on our secure systems and we will never share it with anyone outside the company, unless we have a legal obligation, or your explicit permission, to do so. Our Whistleblowing System

We strive to conduct ourselves ethically, and with honesty and integrity at all times. However, we recognise that there may be times when we, or our people, fall short of these standards. In this instance, individuals should be able to speak up, and express their concerns anonymously, without fear of retribution.

Our whistle blowing system provides a safe place for employees to report misconduct, whether that’s discrimination, bullying, reporting irregularities or something else. Every concern will be thoroughly investigated, and acted on, as appropriate.
