If we don’t have product, we don’t have a business, putting you at the front and centre of ours. In your new role, you’ll be responsible for producing the high-volume, high-quality fuel pumps and injectors, that our customers around the world demand; over 75k injectors and 13k pumps every year. And whilst delivering those numbers is not all down to you, your contribution, alongside that of your teammates, will be critical. Because of this we’re looking for a technically adept problem solver, who is driven by targets and has a passion for quality, bordering on obsessive. Given the repetitive nature of the role, patience, perseverance and focus are also a must, whether it’s your first or 1000th injector. If this sounds like you, please read on.
What you’ll do:
As a remanufacturer for the leading OEMs, the role will require you to follow OE-approved build specifications and processes in the following key areas:
Component assessment:
- Asses the condition of the unit to determine its feasibility for remanufacturing
- Strip the unit and inspect the individual components – only non-wearing machined parts in good condition are used
- Clean the components to remove any unwanted particles and contaminants
Build:
- Measure the individual components to ensure they’re within OE tolerance
- Complete the job card with any additional BOM required
- Build the injectors/pumps in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Comply with clean room regulations at all times
Test:
- Test the injectors/pumps to OE specification
- Report any faults to the Production Manager to determine corrective action
- Produce work of a consistently high standard to deadline
- Ensure that all company procedures, such as health and safety, quality control and operating procedures, are always adhered to
- Complete company paperwork, including job cards, production tracking sheets and QHSE documentation, accurately and on time
What you’ll bring to this role:
- A goal driven mindset with a proven history of meeting targets to deadline
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills including writing and speaking
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, or if you’re not quite there, a willingness to learn
- Proven experience of working well in a team environment
- A good grasp of fuel injection technology
- Knowledge of and willingness to embrace QHSE legislation
- Above all else, a good working attitude
