Quality parts that don’t cost the Earth

At Carwood, we offer proven-quality remanufactured products that help protect valuable resources, consume less raw material, create fewer emissions, and recover waste—all while saving you money. It’s what we call ‘Quality parts that don’t cost the Earth. Let us tell you why.

QUALITY that speaks for itself:

As both a supplier for the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Caterpillar, Perkins and the Ministry of Defence, we have a proven track record of producing high-quality, innovative parts, that perform just as good, sometimes better, than the original.

We’re also an approved remanufacturer for some of the biggest OE names in the industry; Bosch, Delphi, Denso, Siemens/Continental amongst them.  And whilst this may sound like a lot of name dropping – it is and we’re proud of it – it’s important. Why? Because it means our products have undergone countless hours, weeks, and often years of research and development to meet both the vehicle, engine and OE manufacturers exacting standards. Whether it’s delivering maximum torque, injecting fuel at super fine tolerances, or turbo boosting at ultra-quick speeds. That’s all before they reach the production line.

When they do, the standards are just as high. Every part we remanufacture goes through the exact same stringent inspection, cleaning, rebuild, calibration and test procedures as the OE. A process that is more akin to the production of the original component – the only real difference being that we return a used part to its original condition, instead of producing a brand new one.

But don’t just take our word for it. We’re certified to ISO 9001:2015, quality management, and ISO 14001:2015, environmental management standards, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to provide products and services that meet, and even exceed, both customer, and regulatory requirements.

The right PARTS and service too:

Whether it’s a 13-year-old ICE-powered passenger car, a new-generation electric van, a tractor mid harvest or a generator set, keeping our armed forces safe in the field, we know that that the owner expects a quick fix if there’s an issue. Which is why we’re committed to ensuring we have the right, high-quality parts in stock too. Our range includes car, van, truck, bus, agricultural, industrial, rail, marine, defence and motorsport applications. Old and new. And together with our global partners, will get them to you as quickly as possible, wherever you are in the world.

Should the need arise, we also provide a range of technical support services including diagnostics, repair and installation at our Coventry workshop, in the field with our mobile service for fleet customers, or via our technical hotline.

Parts that don’t COST you…:

It’s only through our meticulous, OE-driven approach, that Carwood can offer a same-as, or even better-than-new product, with warranties to match. Yet because we reuse the core, it’s a fraction of the cost – typically at least 25% cheaper than the OE.  Meaning you can access a cost-effective alternative to new, without compromising on either the quality of the product or the service on offer.

…or the EARTH:

And our parts don’t cost the Earth in the literal sense either. In retaining both the material and value added from the original product, remanufacturing can save up to 70% of the resources versus new. And because much of the material already exists in its final form, and therefore not as much work is required to process it, it uses up to 85% less energy, creates less greenhouse gas emissions and reduces waste to landfill.

So by restoring used products, to, or better than, the OEM’s original specification, you get proven-quality products, at a competitive price, and for an increasingly wide range of vehicles too. All whilst helping to conserve valuable resources and material. That’s exactly why we call it ‘Quality parts that don’t cost the Earth’.

Diesel Injector Maintenance: A Guide to Prolonging Engine Life

Good things don’t always last! But fortunately, today’s clean, green, fuel-efficient diesel engine isn’t one of them. They last! And that’s in part thanks to the equally durable, high-performing modern diesel injector. Here we take a look at how and why the diesel injector is key to engine life, and just how to look after it, to keep it that way.
